To be fair, I think people's experiences are probably based on the makeup of their group as well as which food tastings they have on our tour. Nancy was very pleasant and efficient. However, she really didn't bring our group together. There were 3 separate couples and a group of 6 who didn't interact with us. Everyone seemed to want a liquor/wine stop. We went to a food court (bland), an olive oil tasting (could have done on our own)as well as a taco place where we were all served a plain tortilla with a protein thrown on top (no cabbage, cheese or garnish). We bailed after the pizza place which was not, in our opinion, any type of restaurant, but a plain old pizzeria. The group of 6 ordered and paid for pints of beer and it looked like we would never get to the ice cream place so we left after 3.5 hours. The wine tasting was awkward, with no one talking and Nancy looking at her phone. Tons of pics were taken throughout and we were told they would be posted within 72 hours but its 1.5 weeks and nothing. Don't really care but when I looked at the FB albums, it looked like other tours went to other places and they were probably better experiences so hence, the rave reviews. Loved Santa Barbara, but would pass on this tour. We have done many food tours so we know the difference.
