The stage is set in a hidden venue. Five professional actors meet as members of The Drunk Shakespeare Society. One of them has 5 shots of whiskey and then attempts to perform a major role in a Shakespearean play. Hilarity and mayhem ensue while the four sober actors try and keep the script on track. Every show is different depending on who is drinking... and what they're drinking!

Craft cocktails and food are served throughout the show. Running time is 90 minutes with no intermission. Drunk Shakespeare is on a limited run so get your tickets today! Entry is strictly 21+, photo ID and proof of COVID vaccination is required at the door.

So fun and the cast knows how to improve and make the audience feel comfortable and laugh. I reccomend for theatre fans and non-theatre friends! I had no idea what happened in Macbeth but I was laughing the whole show.

What do you get when you mash up improv, Shakespeare, audience participation and alcohol? A whole lotta fun! As soon as we walked in, we were treated to an included cocktail and good natured schtick (that's a comic routine for you out of towners) as five talented actors riffed off our clothes, our names, our body language and our holiday spirits. These guys are quick on their feet - both physically and mentally (cartwheels and tongue twisters were in evidence), but never cruel. So, for the shy among you, no worries about old gym class nightmares. The humor is broad, current, and adult rated so if sex and profanity offend you, be forewarned. On the other hand, if they don't, you are in for a wild 90 minutes of belly laughs and surprises. We were a mixed group of ages celebrating a birthday and this was a perfect choice for us. Cocktails and snacks are available for purchase, but not required. Four of us split a bottle of wine which made the per person cost quite reasonable. The second floor space is shared with a comedy club, and there is a full bar while you wait for the performance spaces to open. No handicap access I could spot. Location is directly across from the Renaissance NY Times Square Hotel.
