The stage is set in a hidden venue. Five professional actors meet as members of The Drunk Shakespeare Society. One of them has 5 shots of whiskey and then attempts to perform a major role in a Shakespearean play. Hilarity and mayhem ensue while the four sober actors try and keep the script on track. Every show is different depending on who is drinking... and what they're drinking!

Craft cocktails and food are served throughout the show. Running time is 90 minutes with no intermission. Drunk Shakespeare is on a limited run so get your tickets today! Entry is strictly 21+, photo ID and proof of COVID vaccination is required at the door.

Laughed non stop for the whole performance. It was excellent! The theatre is tiny with an intimate audience so there’s a lot of fun back and forth exchanges between the audience and actors. There are no bad seats. We got there early and enjoyed a bottle of Prosecco in the fun adjoining rooftop bar. You can take the bottle into the theatre with you, so no need to rush.

We decided on a whim to see this show since it happened to be held in the hotel we were staying in. I’m so glad we did; it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip! The cast during our night was Adam, Preston, Sarah, Alyssa, and Chris and they were all phenomenal. We got to watch them act out Macbeth (which my husband and I have never read so it was nice to get a more modern day interpretation of the story!). The cast was engaging, the story was easy to follow, and yes - the alcohol was 100% real. I have already recommended it to family and friends for when they visit NYC and we can’t wait to attend again!
