We took our two kids aged 8 and 12 on their 1st rafting trip. Wasn't sure if my kids would like so we did the 2 hr trip. They LOVED it. The rapids were very mild and left the kids wanting to go longer. Ryan was our guide. He did a great job making it fun and safe.

Great experience. Lovely way to start the day. Did the 8:30 2 hour float. Would love to go back for more rapids. Rented splash jackets but kids peeled them off before beginning and enjoyed the refreshing water. Morgan was an upbeat guide; while waiting for our return bus, she initiated a paddle game with the help of another guide to keep everyone entertained.

Ryan was awesome and we learned about surfing in the Animas. Totally safe but we got soaked in the 55 degree water. Photos very professionally done. Hardly seemed like 2 hours as time flew by. Great way to watch the trains puff by on old trestle bridges. Great intro trip if you've never drafted before.
