We did the quarter day trip with our party of six (2 40ish adults, 2 70 yr olds, and 2 kids, ages 10 and 11. Water, weather and thrill level was perfect for our group. Tallulah was a fun and knowledgeable guide and she kept the whole group safe and happy. Our youngest didn't want to go through Smelter and was able to hop out and walk around the rapids with the photographer. Mountain waters kept everything running smoothly and we would definitely use them again!

Your children are wise to adhere to the adage "discretion is the better part of valor." Or as we say at Mountain Waters, "if you aren't feeling it, then walk around the man made whitewater park with the photographer and come back and try it when you get older." One of the great things about the Animas River that keeps it family friendly at any water level. Thank you for the review and recommendation!

We are a family of four, our kids are 6 and 10. We wanted to start small for 3/4 family members first time rafting. We had a great time! Our 6 year old was nervous at first, loved rafting by the end of the trip and wanted to go again. Our guides were fun, knowledgeable and great teachers to us about rafting/rowing. If you're in Durango, this is a quick, very worth your while raft trip to take.

Trip was easy and well organized. Rosie was an amazing and fun guide. We felt safe with her and had tons of fun. Ours kids are 8, 10 - families have 2 each. This was a perfect trip for them as well. Scott Drennan
