My partner and I had a blast on this trip - our guide Karen was super knowledgeable and our crew had a good time talking with her as she guided us down the river. Based on how other companies conducted their tours (no helmets or wet suit based on conditions) I would go with Mountain Waters again.

The owners were guides once not that long ago and it was very frustrating to have guests concerned about saving money by not renting wet-suits and possibly making their trip unpleasant at best and dangerous at worse. This is why we include everything when its the safe thing to do!

We had a blast rafting the Animas with our guide, Harrison! Mountain Waters Rafting and adventure Company did a great job prepping us for the rafting experience. We took a short, HOT bus ride to the site, while Ethan explained the rules and introduced the guides. (We wore our masks for the drive). Once there, we geared up in our PFD and headed out. The river was cold and fairly low, but we still had some rapids areas, and the guides made the most of the ride, pitting us against other rafts and having splash wars. Our group of eight had 4 kids, and both adults and kids had a blast. That hot bus felt amazing after getting out of the cold water once the sun went down, haha. We will definitely be doing this again! Thanks Harrison, for being awesome, and hope you have a good time on your upcoming Texas trip!
