The Stu, the guide was great. The river was low and slow. Many rocks to maneuver around and few rapids. We also had to keep together with the group of rubber duckies so also was a negative in my opinion.

We highly recommend Mountain Waters Rafting Tour! A do not miss experience if you visit Durango. We started the tour on a bus to the drop off location on the river. Kena did a great job schooling us up on white water rafting. She was funny, charming and very knowledgeable. Our boat guide, Axel, was the BEST! Besides knowing the river and rafting he had a lot of interesting history of the area to share. We hope to return to do it again with our grandchildren!

Our bus ride up the canyon began with great intros by our two guides! Humor, fun & engaging safety briefing. I think the kid & I ended up with an excellent guide. She had just finished her studies as an Egyptologist. (Congratulations with all due.) I did have a bump into a rock on the trip, yet the advice of a snug foot by our adorable guide Kiki, kept me from a much more wet & raft-less ride down stream. Excellent for a beginners into rafting. Highly recommend their company!
