This was a little adventure we booked and kept secret from our kids! We were worried they would be too nervous. They are 15 and 9. They ended up LOVING this adventure!!! We were placed in a raft with another family of 4. Our guide was Pete and he was phenomenal!! Truly! He had a great sense of humor and kept us laughing. He was so knowledgeable about the river and we felt so safe with him guiding our boat. He took the time to try and get to know all of our names and encouraged us to participate in different, fun, activities during our ride. We even practiced pulling people out of the water and on to the raft which made me feel more confident should I needed to have done so in an actual emergency. The scenery was beautiful. We would definitely recommend this adventure and I wouldn't hesitate to take our kids again......maybe in May when the rapids are even more intense!! Thanks for a great trip Mountain Waters Rafting!

Family Friendly Rafting Adventures are just one part of Mountain Waters! We also have great family friendly adventures at Mesa Verde National Park and on 4x4 Jeep Tours in the beautiful San Juan Mountains. Our group had a great time rafting with Dillon! Tour was well organized and provided good guidance for a mix of beginners and semi-experienced rafters. Would definitely do it again.

The lower Animas is mostly class II and is good for all ages. We took the whole family and had a great time. A Super team that was both fun and professional. Would do it again with the same crew in a heartbeat!
