My wife and our 5-year-old did this trip with another family. It was late August so the water wasn't very high, and we did get stuck a couple of times. Our guide, Trevor, hopped out to unstick us a couple of times which was great. All in all, the guides are entertaining and it is a great way to spend part of your day while in Durango.

Late August rafting is when we see the lower river levels that make rafting what we euphemistically call "technical" or "boating by braille." We just have fun and roll with it because any time on the river is a great way to spend part of your day. Thank you for the review.

My wife and two kids (ages 14 & 21) did the 4 hour trip. So glad we did not do the 2 hr.. would not have wanted to leave that soon. The guides were all great and very detailed on the safety issues that could arise. Highly recommend this crew!!

My group of nine thought our guide, AJ, was great with making sure all the kids stayed safe while also getting to jump in, get splashed, and do plenty of paddling. The class 3 rapids were super fun, as were the many stretches of class 2s. We did a rafting trip a week ago with a different rafting company, and I felt that they didn't do as good a job with those things. Highly recommend Mountain Waters!
