Andy and his team were absolutely AMAZING! We were a crew of 11. Andy organized van pickup in town for all of us, including 11 bikes. We were then guided down a 6 mile (mostly flat) bike ride into the most beautiful terrain and surrounding mountainscapes I've ever seen. At the end of the ride Andy and his team had a picnic prepared and 2 rafts ready for departure at the beginning of the Chilkat river. Great Surprise! We drifted down the expertly guided tributaries that converged on the Alaska Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve where we saw more than 50 bald eagles perched in the trees and waiting on the shores for their salmon attack. We even saw a group of bears. I felt that Andy and his team were in full control of the adventure, and we were always safe. Often with a group as large as ours (11 people) with varying degrees of ability, it is tough to pick an activity or adventure that appeals to all. However, Andy and his Haines Rafting team made it happen! Highly recommended. Thank You!

What an amazing trip! We started of with a 10 mile bike ride through the woods and over some cool old bridges and across some muddy paths. The bike trip was just challenging enough to be fun and not discouraging. We then were treated to an excellent lunch at the raft launch point which had incredible vistas. The rafting trip was amazing! We saw more bald eagles than you can imagine and even saw a bear! Our guides, Andy and Lizzie, were incredibly knowledgeable and fun to talk to. We were in Haines for 5 days and this was definitely one of the highlights of the entire trip for our group!

I book this excursion on June 14 2016 during my Royal Caribbean Cruise in Alaska. The value of this adventure is way more than what you pay for it. A very well trained staff will take you into some rafts and then you will enjoy some hours of memorable, peaceful trip down the river. Have you camera on hand. Eagles, bears and mooses are part of the landscape. In addition, the port of Haines is lovely. 100 % recommended.
