The lady who meet us at the beginning was great. Then our guide got there and just talked mostly about things I did not think went with the tour. It was a very chilly day and he stand in the wind even when more then one person ask if we could go in the museum. There was not enough time to go thru the liberty museum. If fact we were so disappointed that we left the tour half way thru.

Dear Thomas_h, Thank you for reaching out to us. We rely on our guests' direct experience to always monitor our services, so we are truly grateful for their comments, especially negative ones, as they give us the opportunity to improve. First of all, we are very happy you found the girl at check in to be great, but also very disappointed you could not say the same about the guide. We always suggest our guides find a comfortable spot for their explanations, and apologise if it was not the case on the day of your tour. We are also sorry to hear there was not enough time to go to the Museum, as that should not be the case, so I will make sure to investigate the matter closely, to make sure it does not happen again. On that note, we would really appreciate it if you could send us any additional information at [email protected]. We are extremely sorry you did not enjoy your tour, especially since this was your first and only experience with us. That' why we hope that if you ever find yourself in any other city we serve, you will give us another chance. All our best,

Rob was certainly a knowledgeable tour guide. He knew his subject matter but, the social and political commentary was not exactly appropriate for the occasion. Rob in no way was offensive but his personal views overshadowed our tour from the beginning. In fact, we got more social commentary than we did history of the two sites. Until we lobbed simple probing historical based questions about the sites (that he did and could easily answer) we didn’t hear much about the actual structures, the architecture, those who built the sites or what was housed in them (collections). What Rob did do well is share lots of personal family experiences about living in Brooklyn and his families immigration to the US in a twenty minute dissertation on Southern Sicily. I would certainly recommend the tour - - site wise - - but would have enjoyed getting to know Rob in another setting as he’s a really nice guy.

Dear Christopher D, Thank you for booking with us and taking the time to post such a detailed account about your experience on our Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island tour with Rob. We are very happy you enjoyed your time together and thought he was both very knowledgeable and a really nice guy. At the same time though, we are also disappointed to hear you felt his personal views overshadowed the tour and that you received more social commentary than history. Although it is true social commentary in this case can put the historical context into perspective, it should never overshadow it, and we will make sure to address this with Rob. We strive to provide only the best possible experiences to our guests and consider their comments the best way to improve, so thank you for reaching out to us. We hope that your time in NY was lovely and that if you ever travel to any other destination we serve, you will give us another try! All our best,
