East Zion Pine Knoll Horseback Ride

Overview

Saddle up and experience Zion National Park from a unique perspective. This is more than a typical trail ride and is great for both beginners and experienced riders.

Began with a quick introduction and get acquainted with the horses. Learn their unique personalities as you prepare to spend the next two hours together. Your guide will demonstrate safe techniques for handling your horse.

The ride begins by following a trail that winds up the side of Pine Knoll through the desert forest with an intense elevation increase. Eventually, the ride exits the forest and you'll get to see majestic sweeping views of Southern Utah and Zion National Park.

At the summit, you'll pause to capture pictures that will help you remember this experience for years to come. Then, continue down the mountain, all the while learning about the area and wildlife while listening to western stories.

The ride was very good. There were nine or ten of us plus the staff. I was amazed that the horses could navigate the brush and the hills so well. For a beginner rider, the hour and a half ride was enough. I am not sure I would have survived the 3 hour ride. LOL!

Good ride- nice people. Cute baby goats. Lots of great views-we would have liked to ride a bit faster but this is a great experience for tho use that have little to no horse riding experience.

I am a 57 year old woman, and I have never been horseback riding. The guides were very nice, and even though I was feeling a little scared and rather intimidated by the size of the horse, they helped me mount JW (my horse) and I throughly enjoyed the ride. I highly recommend this tour, especially for first timers!
