Overview

Enjoy a one and a half hour South Padre Island Dolphin Watch aboard the newly renovated Murphy's Law and see Atlantic Bottle-nose Dolphins in their natural habitat. During the Eco Tour/Dolphin Watch, you will also have the opportunity to see local and migratory birds and various sea life. The guided tour will also include the southernmost U.S. Coast Guard Station, Boca Chica Beach, the current location of Space X, and the South Padre Island Jetties...entryway to the Brownsville Ship Channel where one of the largest Shrimp Fleet calls home.

Currently, there are no mask mandates or capacity limitations in place. You are welcome to wear a mask, but they are not required. We do make a practice of sanitizing the boat between trips, and our Captain and Crew frequently wash their hands.

We have been on South Padre Island several times and find that Isla Tours gives a great dolphin watch tour at a bit cheaper price than its neighbor which does basically the same route. The staff are amiable and the captain is knowledgeable. Never had a bad trip. Call in the morning for reservations. Unless they have enough people to go, they don't go until they do. In busy seasons, call early as they fill up. Super relaxing and we always see dolphins. Be sure to bring a bit for the tip jar at the end of the cruise.

We took the Port of Brownsville tour. This is a 4 hour tour that travels the channel from South Padre Island to Brownsville. Captain Murphy and Greg? checked to make sure everyone was having a good time and answered any and all questions. They even turned around twice to retrieve hats that had blown off. (wear hats with chin straps). On the way out they provided coffee and donuts and shrimp on the way back. It was a nice surprise. You can also bring your own cooler with beverages and snacks. Being out on the water was great and was well worth the $25.00 per person.

My hubby and I were vacationing in South Padre and wanted to do a dolphin/eco tour. We went through the choices and found Isla Tours. It said it could not be booked online if it was less than 48 hours and that we needed to call to make arrangements if it was less than that. I called and booked the 1:00 tour for the next day, left our name and phone number. We showed up the next day for the tour and the kid at the tour desk said they weren't doing that tour today, that they had taken the boat out for a fishing tour. It would have been nice to have received a phone call to let us know so we could make other arrangements. But, we received nothing - not even an apology. I don't like leaving bad reviews. But, if you are going to treat your customers with such nonchalance, then it is what you deserve
