Nelson Ghost Town
Nelson, back in 1775, wasn't Nelson but was called Eldorado by the Spaniards who made the original discoveries of gold in this area that is now Eldorado Canyon. A hundred years later the prospectors and miners of the day took over and established the notorious Techatticup Mine. Disagreements over ownership, management, and labor disputes resulted in wanton killings so frequent as to be routine and ordinary. Despite the sinister reputation of the mine, it along with others in the town produced several million dollars in gold, silver, copper, and lead. But because of its location in the El Dorado Canyon, it was susceptible to flash flooding making it uninhabitable. The remaining weathered buildings, machinery, and Texaco station are whatā€™s left of the boomtown.

Don't miss this easily accessible trip outside Las Vegas. Once you get on the loop drive, you are committed to the entire loop. It is worthwhile. The first stop is best and spectacular, with lots of interesting flows that froze in different directions. The walk is easy, but you are on your own to figure out the puzzle of paths to get thru to the vertical wall where climbers go straight up. We saw a number of experienced young people taking the challenge.our tour guide was fantastic very attentive and Caring. The Seven Magic Mountains its a very nice place. If your want to visit here, wear comfortable shoes but Avoid to wear suade materials because of the dust. The place is always crowded. Better to visit the place early in the morning to get a perfect time to take photos while itā€™s not crowded we went around 11am perfect timing. Boulder city and Hoover Dam it's the perfect end. This tour is Great value for the price

Great tour! Roberto was my tour guide. Very nice and drove to all the major points at Red Rock Canyon! Took plenty of great pictures for me. Then the same thing with 7 magic mountains. Overall, great time. Thanks!! Thank you for the great tour

Should have been notified sooner that Hoover Dam was closed. Guide needed to speak louder for the people in the back of the van. Would suggest that the van stop in old town Boulder and give the passengers their choose on where to eat. Spend 90 minutes for lunch and exploring. Seating is too confined.
