Electric Bike Tours in Amelia Island

Overview
A Pedego Electric Bike is the best way to experience all that Amelia Island has to offer. A Pedego is just like a regular bike - only better. You can pedal normally (or not) and get power when you want it. It feels like being a kid again!

If our tour times don't work for you, give us a call to inquire about self-guided tours.

Note: All participants must be able to ride a bike. You will need to certify before departure that you have safely ridden a bike in the last 5 years.

Big Talbot Island State Park
During this tour, we ride down 7 mile’s of Amelia Islands designated bike path, over the George Crady Bridge, and into Big Talbot Island where we do a little trail riding down to the beach for a ride along the sand. The power of the bike makes the our trek through the sand easy-breezy. This tour provides a taste of Amelia Islands’ natural beauty and wildlife as we bike through moss-laden live oaks, along natural waterways, and on coastal paths. On the way back, riders have the option to stop at the Shops of Amelia Island for some refreshments prior to returning to the Pedego Store. *Optional stop subject to bike availability

We didn't take the tour - we rented bikes and went around the island on our own. It was absolutely amazing! Even though we were just renting, the owner took a lot of time with us (a family of four with two kids, 16 and 10) to train us to use the bikes properly before we headed out. This was really such a fun activity. It was our first time riding electric bikes. I'm a very inexperienced biker, and I found this to be super easy and safe - much more so for me than a regular bike. My son (10) loved giving himself some added zip with the electric battery assist. All in all, it was really a great experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone. We hope to rent from Pedego again in the future!

Very pleasant day. 80ish. Road our ebikes At low tide on the beach without difficulty to the north end of Amelia then downtown and then back down to the beach at American Beach and a bit south then back to the store . Bikes (4) performed flawlessly. We road 23 miles and battery indicators on all 4 bikes still showed “full” charge . Our wife’s used the emotor assist very heavily.

Oh my gosh! So much fun! We had never ridden electric bikes before. A brief tutorial from Steve at the Pedego shop had us moving. A short, safe bike path ride had us at Peter’s Point with Beach access in minutes (Steve checked the tide to be sure we and the bikes would be safe!) You can pedal or have assistance! We had a blast! We rode all the way to the south end of the island. So much fun! We have recommended this to 5 friends already! Great location for rental, quality product and fine service! We will do it again!
