Elephant Sanctuary Hartbeesport Dam

Arrive at the Elephant Sanctuary after a 1.5-hour drive. On arrival, you will be welcomed and briefed about the sanctuary, its mission, and the elephants being cared for. Embark on a guided tour through the sanctuary. Get a chance to uniquely engage with the elephants, and learn about their daily routines and habits. Participate in an elephant walk. A unique opportunity to take a stroll with these gentle giants, under careful supervision.

Bush Babies Monkey Sanctuary

Next up is the Monkey Sanctuary. You'll be introduced to the sanctuary's mission, their rescue and rehabilitation efforts, and get to know about the different monkey species they house. Get a chance to observe monkeys in their natural habitat. You'd also get a chance to participate in our unique monkey interaction experience under careful guidance.

What an absolutely AMAZING day. I would highly recommend this activity, but Jason made the day flawless. We are staying out of their typical pickup zone, but Jason was awesome and helped the crew out anyway. He reached out the day before to confirm, showed up a little early and was WONDERFUL during our multi hour drive to the Elephants and Monkeys. Jason has a microphone in his Van!! It made a HUGE difference in being able to understand what he was sharing with us. I have been on many tours and outings and have never experienced one with a microphone. We did a private tour and we were a mix of tourists and Joberg locals. Even the locals learned a ton. Jason was knowledgeable, flexible and helpful. So, between being able to PHYSICALLY interact with the Elephants and monkeys and the great care Jason took of us...I cannot recommend this tour enough.

Beautiful walk through the forest. Fantastic guide. Great moments with the monkeys, laughs and pictures. Awesome meeting with the elephants. Absolute must do.
