Overview
While Elvis Presley became the biggest name in music history and achieved worldwide fame and fortune, his roots in the Northeast Mississippi city of Tupelo were humble. Guests will experience the rural setting of Elvis' upbringing and see where it all began in the two-room house where the King of Rock ‘n' Roll was born on January 8, 1935, the church he attended in his youth, and see artifacts from his modest beginnings. Sit back and relax on a luxury motorcoach for this narrated 8-hour excursion departing every Friday from The Guest House at Graceland in Memphis to Tupelo, Mississippi.

It was very well done..from the movies/concerts we watched on the way, the stories Tony told along the way, and the stops we made—all telling the story of a young Elvis. I definitely recommend this tour before going to Graceland...it helps to understand how poor Elvis grew up before seeing what he accomplished and his stardom!

his was on our bucket list for a long time and something we were as a family extremely excited for. We visited on a Sunday and our tour was at 12.45, we did the ultimate VIP tour. I don’t know if it was anything to do with it being a Sunday but by the time we had finished the tour and eaten shops were beginning to close, so we had to rush round to grab a souvenir when really we wanted to take our time and go back throughout the museums that we didn’t get to see all of, I would recommend an earlier tour time to allow plenty of time to wonder after your tour. Don’t know if it’s an American thing but we were told at the guesthouse about the shuttle that takes you to Graceland so we waited for this, it literally took us across the road! Easily a 5 minute walk, we were a bit shocked there’s a shuttle for this if your able to walk there is no need for a shuttle. Graceland is amazing, felt a presence in the out house where his squash court is, where he spent his last evening. Very touching. Our tour guide Jon was amazing and knowledgable, he recommended the platter in the restaurant where you get to sample all types of meats and it was delicious! With the vip tour you got to see some of Elvis’ memorabilia and hold on of his belts that we performed in, whilst wearing gloves. This was amazing but we found it odd there are no photos of Elvis wearing this belt anywhere? Begs the question was it really Elvis’ belt? We looked everywhere to find a photo even online, can’t see it anywhere, strange.
