I was in town for work, and during the week, my boyfriend accompanied me for a couple of days. On the first night in town, I stopped for dinner in a restaurant near The Empire State Building. During that meal, I had the pleasure of meeting Renita. Throughout our conversation, she shared that she worked in the Observatory at The Empire State Building and had worked in the building for 26 years! Renita is an exceptionally kind person, and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Before she left that evening, she invited me to visit as her guest. I have to admit that it was hard to believe initially that she was being sincere and that this opportunity might actually come to pass. We exchanged contact information and after a couple of days, I reached out to thank her and let her know how much I had enjoyed our conversation, but that I didn’t want to impose. Renita insisted and after another conversation, we made arrangements for me and my boyfriend to visit later in the week after I had finished working for the day. (I’m fairly sure that my boyfriend initially thought this entire story was too good to be true. As it turns out, we both learned that Renita invitation came from her heart of gold!) To say that Renita went out of her way to be a gracious, exceptional ambassador for The Empire State Building and NYC, in general, is an understatement. She met us as we arrived in the Observatory and gave us the full 360 degree tour of the entire city. The view, along with her kindness, literally took my breath away and left me with tears in my eyes. Our photos are absolutely incredible. It was an experience that neither of us will ever forget! Sometimes, we are lucky enough to meet someone that reminds us that wonderful people exist, and we just have to slow down enough to say, “Hello!”

It was a good experience but we had a problem with the photos that they took for us, because they said in that moment something wasn't working well and we paid to receive those photos on line and so far I can download it, and I paid for it.
