This was one of the worst tours ever. Misleading and fell short of what it promised on all levels! We paid a lot of money for run down boats, a walk on a cheesy trail off the road in a hot humid mosquito infested environment. Our tour guide was a nice guy but we learned nothing and oh if you wanted those alligator appetizers they promised forget about it. They didn’t even mention it. False advertising! I would not recommend this tour. Imagine throwing $400 in the trash can. Ouch!!!

Hi Stephen, Thank you for the feedback. The heat and humidity of a Florida summer is not for the faint of heart. While I can't control the weather, I am proud of the comfortable, air conditioned van that we transport you in but to experience the subtropical wilderness we do need to get out. The nature walk takes place in an award winning Florida State Park. I don't know what constitutes "cheesy". The old growth cypress? The nesting gators? The poisonous (and harmless) grasshoppers? Owls hooting in the trees? It's all cool to me. The Everglades National Park boat ride is on a 2016 Carolina skiff. The airboat is a 2009. Neither are old or rundown and they operate well. I have not advertised alligator appetizers since January 2021 when we removed them from the menu and from our website. I no longer felt it made sense to eat the animal everyone was excited to see. We don't eat panther, dolphin or manatee either. I hire well-educated biologists and naturalists to conduct the tour. I'm sorry if a day with an Everglades expert wasn't an educational experience but I would encourage anyone going on tour to have an open mind to everything the Everglades has to offer.

Our guide, Mark, was very knowledgeable and friendly. We did get to see gators and dolphins but the part we were disappointed in was the time spent being shuttled around. It was a dreary/rainy day but besides the hour for lunch and the two, hour long boat rides, we were glued to the seats of the tour van. I guess I expected more of an active itinerary, especially since we had younger kids along but I was wrong. There also was a lot of waiting around which was a disappointment. It was a cool experience but once is more than enough.

You are justified in being disappointed and I sincerely apologize. I have responded to a similar complaint about the time in our van. Both reviews are in response to the tour that occurred on June 17th which did not include the regularly scheduled nature walk or stop at the Big Cypress Visitor Center. It should have and I have taken steps to make sure that does not happen again. Thank you for the feedback and again I apologize that we failed to live up to the high standards that should be expected.
