After reading endless trip reviews for months we were put off by the negatives. We woke up early on our first day in Miami and decided to take a gamble by booking Banana Joe’s. Wow, Did that pay off! The pick up was on time, comfortable and Christian gave us lots of information. Being a Sunday the wait time was about an hour for the boat so we were asked to go to the gator show first (not for me, I’ll leave it there). The airboat was fun but it’s a shame most are covered so you really need to be on a side. There are 2 bursts of going fast. An hour flies by. We were lucky to see 3 gators including a 10 footer openly swimming. We booked the Miami city tour as well to get our bearings which ended up just us and one other couple. We were dropped off for lunch and then given the best tour of Miami seeing so many areas we’d never be able to see in one day if we’d tried independently. Once again, Christian gave us a lot of information. It was a perfect mix of free time along with a trip in an air conditioned van.star island, Bricknell, downtown, little Havana, ocean drive….. he never rushed us at the end of the tour I was actually really emotional as we’d really bonded with our Irish friends and Christian made us feel like VIP’s. If you are thinking about booking with Banana Joe’s, stop and just do it! Professional, accommodating, friendly and excellent value for money (rare in Miami). I couldn’t ask for anything more.

The tour of Miami was excellent and very informative with really great personal attention from our guide. This is a really good tour to get a grasp of what Miami is about. The only disappointing part was hanging around at the Everglades Park for couple of hours. Be aware that they prioritise Cruise Ship tours.

We had Christian as our guide and he was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and he pointed out great things on the tour. We had such an amazing time. We totally recommend this tour. It was the highlight of our visit to Miami.
