Even if you tend to get motion sick, I can recommend this tour, and that's saying a lot. Neither the airboat nor the 1000-island motorboat was a problem. I sat in the front seat in both, as well as in the van. Zero issues. We saw a few alligators and many, many birds -- our lovely tour guide, Zac, was a birder. We learned a lot about flora, fauna, ecology, and history -- both of the everglades and the indigenous population. The lunch was a nice plus. The pick-up and drop-off service is wonderful. It's a pricey tour but if you add it all up, it feels worth it. And it really is a unique environment, and so completely different from everything else you'll experience in South Florida. Highly recommend as long as you're curious, reasonably fit (minor walking, some climbing in and out of boats), and you have a full day to enjoy it.

Many tour companies promote themselves as eco-tours, but Wild Lime is the real deal! We booked the full day tour with the airboat tour, Big Cypress cruise, and dry hike, and it did not seems at all like 10 hours. We saw and learned so much about the ecosystem of the Everglades, the indigenous people of the area as well as others who still call it home, and the infamous connection it had with alcohol and drug running. We saw tons of alligators, a lot of dolphins, and flora ranging from palm trees and strangler figs to wild orchids. We had so much fun with Ryan as our tour leader, who clearly knows his stuff -- as well as some related groaner jokes! He is friendly and knowledgeable and truly cares about helping others understand the importance of taking care of our natural resources. A shout-out, too, to our captain who took us through Big Cypress. Tristan has spent his entire life in the Glades, and his family has lived there for generations, giving us a good glimpse into then vs. now. There was no way we could have learned or saw as much as we did had we tried to put it together ourselves. And, with Wild Lime, it's all animals in their native habitat living without interference from people. No gator shows or handling on their tours, and for that we are truly grateful.
