Everglades National Park Small Group Guided Boating & Walking Tour Expedition

Overview
This is a premier learning experience in the Everglades Area and is superb for the entire family... from toddlers to the grandparents. Limited to just six guests, it is a personalized eco-adventure. Every day is different in the Everglades and 10,000 Islands so we try to be very flexible and dynamic. The tour may/will include a bit of birding, some photography, strolling thru tidal pools, shelling on a remote beach and exploration of one of the 10,000 Islands. The first part of the experience is a guided boating eco tour in search of the areas rich wildlife. The second part is an interpretive, guided walk on a remote barrier island to explore the island's beaches, tidal pools and inter-tidal zones.

Note: June through October, we suggest the morning experiences due to the weather.

My husband and I were the only ones on our tour, and Bob did a FABULOUS job! After boating among the 10,000 Islands we landed on Pavillion Island. There were dozens of shore birds, even a white pelican, and shells shells shells. We picked them up, admired them, photographed them, and left them. Bob knew every bird, every shell, and seemingly every inch of the island. He brought his camera with super telephoto lens along, and later shared photos with us. What fun! We reboarded and investigated other islands from the water, then enticed a pod of dolphins to play in our wake. Two large dolphins were hunting by the shoreline - always a thrill. Next time we’ll add kayaking to our trip, and would love to bring our grandboys on a camping trip in the islands too.

Captain Dan is amazing. Being a fisherman, he knows the waterways, the creatures in the park and the mangroves covered islands, the ups and downs of tides very well. We enjoyed our tour led by him.

Did the private photo safari tour - saw dolphin, manatee, osprey, shark, raccoons, many shorebirds. Learned a lot about Native Americans in the area. Overall no stress and lots of fun!
