Everglades National Park Small Group Guided Boating & Walking Tour Expedition

Overview
This is a premier learning experience in the Everglades Area and is superb for the entire family... from toddlers to the grandparents. Limited to just six guests, it is a personalized eco-adventure. Every day is different in the Everglades and 10,000 Islands so we try to be very flexible and dynamic. The tour may/will include a bit of birding, some photography, strolling thru tidal pools, shelling on a remote beach, exploration of one of the 10,000 Islands and/or beach seine netting for underwater life. The first part of the experience is a guided boating eco tour in search of the areas rich wildlife. The second part is an interpretive, guided walk on a remote barrier island to explore the island's beaches, tidal pools and inter-tidal zones.

We saw so many beautiful birds whilst touring some of the thousands of islands in the Everglades. Also learned some fascinating things about the ecosystem and other animals that inhabit the area. Don was a lovely and hugely knowledgable guide. Amazing trip!

We had such an amazing time on this outing! A special shout out to Capt Dan who expertly guided us including our kids ages 7-9 on this boating/walking adventure in this unique estuary ecosystem. We had the magical experiences of boating alongside dolphins swimming in our wake, learning about the lives of ospreys and bald eagles as we watched the adult birds and their young perched in their nests, and casually walking along an exposed sandbar noting wildlife, indigenous history and artifacts and other fascinating points of interest. Dan was a patient and informative guide tailoring his delivery to the needs of our small group whose ages spanned from the young to older adults. We would definitely recommend this trip and would absolutely go with this outfit again on another excursion. Thanks for the great memories in this most beautiful of wild spaces!

As with most of these excursions, the guide will make or break it. Don, our naturalist guide, was superb. His depth of knowledge, combined with an extraordinary ability to communicate, made this a very worthwhile experience. Highly recommended!
