Super fun tour. Great breweries and our guide/driver was both helpful and fun.

We did the 4-8 tour on a Friday night and we were disappointed that there was really no "behind the scenes" tour as advertised. We simply visited three breweries (Hops & Grain, Zilker, and St. Elmo's). If you're a local, you're better off getting a sober driver and visiting some places on your own as it would be much less expensive than this tour. The tourists that were in our group seemed happy enough, but they were just thrilled to be in Austin. Our guide was very nice, but we didn't learn anything about the breweries, and again, never had any kind of actual "tour" of any of the breweries. For the money, a tour would have made it worth it, as would maybe a souvenir glass from the places.

Hi, I'm sorry you are disappointed. We state clearly that groups get 'one' behind the scenes tour of a brewery. We did do a tour of Zilker brewing that day. You were up front and listening. I am not sure why you claimed otherwise when you did in fact get a tour. Also, we clearly state that glassware is available for purchase at the breweries. We take great pride in exceeding expectations. It is unfortunate yours were not met. We will keep everything you said in mind in the future as we continue to strive for excellence. Thanks for the feedback.

I live here in Austin so I have been to many of the local breweries but had an opportunity to go on the brewery tour with Austin Brewery Tours on a Sunday afternoon. There were only 6 of us total and Shane the owner/driver. We went to three breweries, two of which were new to me and one I had been to in the past. I was looking forward to the day and was not disappointed. Shane is very knowledgeable about craft beer in general and the Austin beer scene in particular. He does a good job of addressing the level of craft beer knowledge in the group. There is something for everyone here regardless of your level of craft beer experience. One concern I had going into the day was we would spend more time driving around town between breweries than we would spend at the breweries, this was not the case, Shane planned the route so as to maximize efficiency. I would highly recommend this tour for visitors and natives alike.
