Overview

I love what I do. I love wine, the beauty of Oregon and the gentleness of Pinot Noir … all the things you’ll discover and learn as we spend the day together getting to know what makes Willamette Valley so unique. I’ll take you to boutique-style wineries where you’ll have authentic experiences, learn how wine is made, specific attributes of how weather effects grape growing, learn how certain wines compliment different foods and sometimes the chance to meet the winemaker. We’ll discover the magnificence of the rolling hills and vistas that make this area a destination.

You’ll get to know and enjoy some of the types of wine grown in the Willamette Valley and surrounding areas.

Here we are going to taste some great Rose and Pinot Noir

Domaine Divio

This winery is known for it's Pinot Gris Chardonnay and Pinot Noir which we will be able to taste as well. We are going to have our picnic style lunch here as well.

Eminent Domaine

This winery is also known for it's amazing Chardonnay and single clone Pinot noir which we will be able to taste

I had a great tour with Niko. I was on a solo trip to the Northwest and Niko's small group tour was a perfect way to meet some nice people and experience some excellent wines from lesser-known winemakers who are masters of the craft. Niko is friendly and knowledgeable, and I had a great time!

Niko is fantastic! We spent such an incredible, memorable day with him touring the Willamette Valley. He was very knowledgeable about wine, both broadly and within this region. It was obvious Niko has great relationships with local wine makers/vineyards and was able to take us to us to small local wineries where we were received warmly and were able to taste many delicious wines. Niko was very accommodating of our preferences and worked to make sure everyone was having a great time - he even accommodated me bringing my infant son along for the day. I would definitely do another tour with Niko next time I'm in the Portland Area. I would highly recommend taking a tour with works4wine.

First, I think it’s very clear Niko loves people and his attention to detail, ensuring everyone in the group is having a great time, demonstrates this point. Niko has a great personality and is not only smart and seems to love what he does but also knows how to shake hands, knows how to smile, and mix facts and historical knowledge with something really important: having fun. His tour was about care and personalization, making sure we each had group and individualized pictures with both staged and in the moment. He had prepared a cheese board at one of our stops, had a winery open up just for us on a day normally closed. It's those personal touches; Niko calls his friend the wine manager to open the tasting room that's closed on that day just so a group of wine lovers and great friends could share an incredible experience and the beauty of Oregon wine country they'd come all this way to see. It's his extra dose of human compassion that makes him an easy choice when you want to experience something special.
