Explore the Wines of Oregon's Willamette Valley

Overview
I love what I do. I love wine, the beauty of Oregon and the gentleness of Pinot Noir … all the things you’ll discover and learn as we spend the day together getting to know what makes Willamette Valley so unique. I’ll take you to boutique-style wineries where you’ll have authentic experiences, learn how wine is made, specific attributes of how weather effects grape growing, learn how certain wines compliment different foods and sometimes the chance to meet the winemaker. We’ll discover the magnificence of the rolling hills and vistas that make this area a destination.

You’ll get to know and enjoy some of the types of wine grown in the Willamette Valley and surrounding areas.

If you have a favorite winery that you’d like to visit, my tour is customizable. Let’s talk!

Niko has an exceptional knowledge of wine and winemaking. The tour was personable and accommodating to requests, and we even got a few local recommendations on activities to do while in Portland, Oregon. I recommend for small or large groups with an interest in the winemaking process. Our tour went to Lange Estate, Domaine Divio then Fairsing and each had beautiful panoramic views of the Willamette Valley.

It’s hard to put into words how special the day Niko (and Pamela) created for us; it was truly magical. James and I had never been to the Willamette Valley before but I have been an enthusiast of their wines for a while and I feel that they truly curate your experience to highlight the best of the Valley. I appreciated all the knowledge (and stories) that Niko had to offer as well as the wonderfully friendly people we were lucky enough to meet. Booking with them was definitely the highlight of our trip!!!

This was my and my wife's first trip to Portland to celebrate our son's engagement. We decided that spending a day in the Willamette Valley to tour and taste some of the wines the region is known for would be a memorable way to mark the occasion, but where to start? After reading all the outstanding reviews for works4wine, we chose Niko as our guide and we could not have been more pleased. He and his business partner, Pamela, phoned us prior to the tour to determine our preferences and desires, using that information to plan a custom itinerary that was then emailed to us in advance. On the day of our reservation, Niko picked the four of us up in his brand new minivan and we were off to the first of three wineries . During the drive and at each stop, Niko shared his extensive knowledge of wine and the history of the region. We found him to be very personable, kind, and considerate. He even took photos of us with his own camera to share with us following the tour. He also provided a picnic lunch. The vineyards and tastings were terrific, and seemingly tailor-made for us. We actually got to meet and enjoy wonderful conversations with the proprietors at two of them. All were approachable, very friendly, and well known to Niko. If you are thinking of a wine tour of the Willamette Valley, you absolutely should consider the services of Niko and works4wine. We had an extraordinary experience and hope to visit again!
