My grandkids came for an early Christmas and asked about the Zebras and the Watusi that we use to watch on Pine Grove. Unfortunately, they moved away from our area. Kevin use to tell his little brother about seeing them every day when he went to see his JPA and MeMaw in Florida. We'll we told them all about Wild Florida, Kev said, been there done that. I said no, there is something new. A drive thru Safari park, just opened up. So, we went on a Monday with the NH grands and family and the Florida grands and family all 10 of us in one day. Ages from 8 down to almost 2 to see these animals he wanted to see ... Be sure to pee 1st before the trip since you never know what will happen in the wild. The animals maybe curious about you or your car, it's just a good idea. We loaded everyone up and started our tour, our littlest grandson was very excited and the three older ones including our granddaughter. We were not disappointed and at the end even the adults had a good time. Feeding the giraffe was a nice touch at the end but my grandkids wanted more, we went back for the feeding of the gators and the birds. Who knew the bite when you feed them remember to keep and eye on them... We had a great day the entire time.

The tour guide, Naomi, was great, very friendly and knew a lot. The drive is pleasant and great to see out of Orlando. The airboat was the absolute highlight, interesting to be out in the water. It was a cold day but so worth it! Saw so much wild bird life and some baby gators. Unique experience and not to be missed. The park is also good, the alligator show was entertaining and the variety of animals is good. As part of the tour I think we had 30-60 minutes too long at the park, we all spent quite a bit of time waiting for the pick up and trying to stay warm!

Overall exactly what I wished for - to see lots of alligators and ride the airboat. Here's the list of goods and bads: 1. had to Uber from hotel to a place decided by the office (additional cost) 2. our driver, Madeline was the nicest lady ever, she has entertained us with lots of interesting facts about Florida on the way there 3. the office communication was not top notch, when I asked about pickup location and recommendations on clothing/etc - they have briefly responded with location and thats it. As if they did not read, duh 4. If its too hot - about 30C or higher - the alligators hide in deeper waters and we've only seen a few of tiny ones. 5. The airboat ride is long, 1h as promised, they take you all around the lake with a few stops to show some local wildlife / plants and say a few words about them. 6. If you sit on the front and especially front sides - then when driving through occasional narrow passages through the grass all the mosquitoes will land on you and a bite is almost guaranteed. You also get hit by snapped grass tips, it is quite noticeable and may be unpleasant. 7. A couple times per year April-May (?) and Sep-Oct these nasty black bugs decide its their mating season and they become extremely abundant and annoying for about 2 weeks. I was lucky to be visiting during this period. Nasty. 8. The little zoo is also really nice. 9. The deep fried food served/sold there could be better. But i'm a picky eater.

Thank you so much for sharing your feedback as it is very important to us. We have centralized pick up locations as Orlando is so spread out it would be hard for any tour company to collect everyone from their own hotel. We want the pick ups to be as quick as possible so you can enjoy more time on the tour. Florida is definitely the leader in bugs. We have different kinds at different times of the year as well as the weather is hit or miss sort of speak. Alligators as well like to grace us with their presence when they see fit. I am happy to know that you enjoyed the day and that Madeline was able to be part of that. Please do email us direct about the email correspondence so that I may look into this. This is not the service that we pride ourselves on and I would like to have it addressed so that it doesn't happen again in the future. Please email Kristin at [email protected]. Thank you again for your feedback!
