This Extended Lakes Helicopter flight takes you beyond the lake view flight. You will fly directly over Douglas Dam, and proceed over the lake. In the summer you get great sun-glistening views of the water and the people enjoying their time on the lake. During the winter months, the water level is lower allowing for incredible views of exposed islands and coves. Minimum of 2 guests to book flight.

Douglas Lake

On this tour you will climb to almost 1000 feet. You will see view of the French Broad River, Douglas Lake and Mountain Views in the distance. This is our most popular lake flight.

The employees were super friendly and very good with kids. Our pilot Kalae (spelling?), was awesome and very good at what he does. I do recommend headsets, they work very well, no problem hearing. Views were outstanding!

There was a Great view of the river and the Great Smoky mountains. I want to go longer and further next time.

My friend and me decided to do this last minute after Soaky Mountain closed and I am so glad we did. We chose to do the 8 minute extended lake tour. Check in was super easy and we went up right on time. The views over Douglas Lake are absolutely amazing! I had no idea this lake even existed until we went on this tour. Our pilot was super friendly as well. I definitely would love to do some longer tours on our next visit here!
