The Knotty Shop
On our way towards the Paxson lake, we will stop at the Knotty Shop. A unique woodworking shop featuring birch wood carvings as well as a variety of other local art and the best ice cream in the area.
2
Big Delta State Historical Park
As we continue our tour, you will have the opportunity to explore the Big Delta State Historical Park taking you back in time to the early days of the 20th century.
3
Summit Lake
As we continue our journey, you will enjoy sitting back and enjoying the ride and scenery as we take you deep into the heart of the interior. Few words can describe the experience of soaking in Alaska’s vast nature to include the Black Rapids Glacier, expanse of vistas, rivers and mountains as well as wildlife which could include bears, caribou, moose and buffalo. Arriving at Summit Lake, be sure to have your camera ready as the landscape opens up in front of you and offers an indescribable experience. The peace and vastness of Alaska’s nature has changed many of our guests forever. After many years of experience exploring the remotest parts of Alaska, this excursion combines our favorite landscapes and landmarks this state has to offer. We look forward to welcoming you.

Bob was a great tour guide. He had wonderful tales to tell of Alaska and pointed out many moose and other things for us to see. It was an enjoyable and worthwhile tour.

Boring and ridiculous to go on a 300 mile round trio to do pretty much not much of any this other than see alaska oil pipe line.

Dear Ram, We are sorry to hear that you were not fulfilled by our Beauty of the North tour. We have yet to have this tour described as anything but beautiful, let alone boring. From views of the Chugach Mountain Range and the Alaska Range, to various lakes and views of the Tanana River, here at Alaska Wildlife Guide, we find that far from boring. Not only are the scenic views worth the round trip, but you also potentially see more glaciers, vegetation, wildlife and mountains than some get the opportunity to view in their lifetime. With the various stops along the route, such as Rika’s Roadhouse just outside of Big Delta, Summit lake, Big Delta State Historical Park, The Knotty Shop in Salcha, and as you stated in your review, viewpoints of the Trans Alaska pipeline, we struggle to find the tour as anything but exciting, beautiful, and quite an unforgettable experience. We hope that your next trip to our beautiful state brings about a more enjoyable experience for you.
