Drive just 30 minutes to reach the Flattop Scenic Overlook in Glen Alps, where you'll find yourself 2,000 feet above Anchorage and the Cook Inlet, offering breathtaking views. After getting fitted for a bike and helmet, embark on an adventure into the mountains. The trail is a wide double track of dirt and gravel, making this a non-technical mountain bike ride, great for anyone who enjoys adventure and knows how to ride a bike.

As you venture into the wilderness, learn about the natural and human history of the Chugach Mountains. Look for wildlife such as moose, bears, ptarmigan, and Dall sheep inhabiting the valley floor and mountain slopes. Leave the city behind as you steadily bike up and out of the valley floor, enjoying the panoramic views along the way. Enjoy the fast and fun ride back to the starting point after taking a break to soak in the sounds of marmots, songbirds, and the babbling creek.

I had a blast on my fat tire mountain bike ride with Alaska Trail Guides! It was my first time on a fat tire bike and their description of "tank on a cloud" is definitely accurate. Chugach State Park is a beautiful, low-traffic area and the guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Would highly recommend Alaska Trail Guides for anyone looking to see AK by bike.

Elly and team were fantastic! Clear communication prior, very flexible in pick-up, gear felt very new and felt like our group was in great hands, fat tire bike ride was so fun and done at our pace with lots of info from the guides around every turn, saw several moose and other wildlife, and they even dropped us off at Humpy's after. Will look up this team again when we're in town for another adventure! Don't miss this tour!
