Overview

We offer robust fat tire e-bikes which are perfectly suited for the gravel terrain of Acadia's Carriage Roads, providing ample comfort and stability. These automobile-free roads offer intimate access to Jordan Pond House, Eagle Lake, Day Mountain, the Rockefeller bridges, and much more. Keep an eye out for wildlife such as: Bald Eagles, Deer, Porcupine, and Beavers (ask our staff where to find their homes). Our four hour rentals allow adventurers and families alike to comfortably explore 20-30 miles of the park. To ensure you get the most out of your trip, we will provide a map guide and share our personal recommendations along with easy to follow directions to the trails.

We have never ridden ebikes. We had a fun time seeing the sights without getting overly tired. What a great experience. It was one of our favorite memories from our trip.

We had an amazing time on the Carriage trails yesterday. We were able to see so much more than we would have on regular bikes. Brad was amazing and super patient getting us comfortable with the bikes. They are the only place with the fat tires which I think helped with the ride. Highly recommend renting from Brad and exploring the trails. We won’t go anywhere else to rent. We will be back for another E-Bike adventure or maybe try our hand at kayaking. Thanks so much to all the staff. You were all wonderful

The folks at Maine State Kayak and E-bike were really great getting me oriented to my fat-tire e-bike. The gave me all the instructions, provided a map and a tiny first aid kit. They also have light backpacks to borrow although I had my own. The carriage trails in Acadia National Park are wide and well kept. It was a fun ride once I was in the park without cars. I highly recommend this outfitter!
