Overview

On this small, exclusive experience (6 riders max), guests will enjoy a super-fun musical electric bicycle tour on Coronado's most beautiful coastal bike paths, scenic photo hotspots, and areas of historical interest.

Inspired by the woody wagons of California’s surf culture, Fat Woody Beach Cruisers are artisan handcrafted e-bikes. If you’re looking for a truly unique & memorable southern California experience, take a ride on one of these incredibly unique beach cruisers!

Guests must have ‘expert proficiency’ riding skills and be 21+ years old, 16+ when accompanied by parent. Riders MUST be able to put both feet on the ground, a 29”+ inseam measured floor to crotch. Because these e-bikes weigh 90+lbs, shorter legs require riders to lean the bike to one side with all the weight on one leg, resulting in potential falls, injury and equipment damage. No exceptions to this requirement.

Riders must be 21+ years old, Parents wanting to bring teen riders should call Fat Woody.
Rider’s must be able to put both feet down on the ground while seated on the cruiser. Typically 5’2” and taller - minimum 29” inseam floor to crotch.
Expert Rider Skills: Riders must have ‘expert proficiency’ bicycle riding skills - Defined as those who ride bicycles regularly. Not recommended for novice riders or those who haven’t ridden in years.
During the familiarization session in the park, riders will be given the opportunity to demonstrate their riding skills before we begin the tour. For safety reasons, Fat Woody reserves the right to cancel any tour due to insufficient rider capabilities. Riders will be given a refund less 20% cancellation fee.
Loose clothing that hangs down in close proximity to wheel spokes (long skirts, jackets around waist) are not recommended and could be potentially dangerous. For safety reasons, Fat Woody reserves the right to cancel any tour due to unsafe clothing that may cause potential rider injury.
Maximum Weight: 300 lbs.

This adventure is a must do while you're in San Diego and looking for a great experience! It's a great way to see Coronado and learn it's extensive history. Ken is an amazing guide and full of knowledge of the area with a great sense of humor. He was genuinely happy to take me around solo. He answered lots of questions and stopped anywhere I wanted to take in extra views and lots of pictures. He takes pictures as well and emails them later so you can see just how much fun you had!

We came to San Diego for a couples getaway. My husband found Ken’s site and wanted to try out an electric bike ride around Coronado. To say this was the highlight of our trip is an understatement. Ken is fantastic! He has such a good energy and truly loves what he does. He built the bikes himself and takes pride in the bikes and is fully committed to ensuring you enjoy yourself on the ride. Out of all the Viator tours I signed up for this was the best and surprisingly the rest were a bit disappointing. If you do one tour in San Diego or looking for the best tour of Coronado do this Fat Woody Bike Tour. Every part of the tour is super scenic. The bikes are super fun, might be intimidating at first but you if you know how to ride a bike, you will get used to it very quickly. These are beautiful electric bikes with vibrant tropical colors. They are an attention getter once you stop at Coronado Beach. If it's hot you won't be pedaling hard or working up a sweat. You can use the bike's built-in bluetooth to listen to your favorite playlist from your phone from the bike's speakers. Smaller groups mean better bike tour experience. You will also get rich historical info about the island. Definitely recommend.
