Effective Monday, February 28, the Field Museum will drop the requirement to show proof of vaccine to enter. Additionally, masks are suggested but not mandatory for Museum entrance. This policy is in alignment with the City of Chicago.

Journey through 13,000 years of history in the Ancient Americas from the Ice Age mammoth hunter to the temples of the Incas and Aztecs. If you are looking for dinosaurs – this is the place! Visit our newly renovated Dinosaur Hall -- Evolving Planet -- where giant sloths, woolly mammoths and dinosaurs all mingle! Located on Chicago’s Museum Campus, The Field Museum also has dining facilities, performance opportunities, and an unbeatable view of Lake Michigan and Chicago’s downtown skyline.

The teenage boys in our group loved the museum. The adults did, too. We didn’t come close to scratching the surface of what you can see and do. We focused on the special non-permanent collections - Wild Color, Jurassic Oceans, and China - but also saw Sue (of course!!) and the Egyptian mummies. We were there for about 5 hours.

The museum was even better than we expected. You can learn a lot about history and nature. Both children and grown people will enjoy the place. The movie about the dinosaur sculpture was the best part.
