Captain Scott is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. He worked with us to ensure we did what we wanted and had a good time. He goes above and beyond as a captain to give you the best experience he can, and continued to be a great guy and captain outside of the boat, helping us with stuff that he in no way was obliged to do! He also helped me catch a record king salmon fish! We would recommend him to everyone!

Captain Scott Edgar of REEL ALASKA FISHING CHARTERS took my husband and me (we are both age 70) for two full days of fishing, June 24-25. It was absolutely fantastic. Both of us wholeheartedly recommend Reel Alaska Fishing Charters. EVERY ASPECT of the 2-day experience surpassed our expectations. 1. We caught a LOT of fish - and a number of different kinds: halibut, king salmon, coho salmon, pink salmon, lingcod, and rockfish. Scott knows where the fish are, and he takes you to more spots, and further out, to ensure your trip is a success. 2. Scott was a clear and patient instructor (and coach) in fishing technique - and adapted to my husband's and my different levels of fishing competence very well. He was highly professional - on time, great equipment, clean boat, no pricing surprises, and a seamless, coordinated relationship with the folks who pack, freeze, and box your fish. He was also excellent company during our hours together - friendly, considerate, attentive, knowledgeable, good humored, and interesting. 3. The boat was fast, safe, and comfy, and included a toilet with a closable door, and an inside place to sit out of the weather. Scott brought cold drinks and sandwiches from the grocery store for our lunch. 4. Did I mention that we caught A LOT of primo fish? A LOT!! This is what you hope for, and this is what Scott spared no effort to make happen. For us, fishing out of Ketchikan was a special dream. We did a lot of investigation before deciding to go with Reel Alaska -- and we are so glad we did! Our experience was truly exceptional. Call Scott directly and discuss the various trips he can do for you. You will be glad you did.

Unlike my previous encounters with charter captains in Ketchikan, Reel Alaska Fishing Charters is LEGAL, COURTEOUS and most importantly CATCHES ALL THE FISHES! We took a lady’s trip with Captain Scott and had a blast!
