Floating Bar Crawl Tour

Overview

Asheville is known for Beer and Nature! We combine the two. This is a fun trip to bar hop by raft. We will casually float down river and take out 2 or 3 times to hit up some local bars and breweries. I will have a cooler with ice and you are welcome to bring your own beverages along.

This tour follows along the river and requires climbing up some muddy river banks and descending stairs.

We will relax and enjoy cold beverages and river views. We will stop at The Wedge Brewery at the Foundation and grab some food from the food truck. We will end at New Belgium Brewery.

I recommend parking at Hominy Creek River Park and then taking a ride share to retrieve your vehicle when you are safe to drive. You can leave your vehicle overnight there if you need to. We will meet you by the stairs to the river.

Other things to note:
Must be comfortable with water. Kids at least 15 can accompany their parents but obviously will not be able to consume alcohol. Gratuity for the guide is appreciated.

Highlight of our trip to Asheville! Very laid back and relaxing, guide was also very fun and engaging. The breweries we went too were fun little spots right along the river. Would definitely recommend it and will be looking into doing a whitewater trip with them next time we're in town for sure.

The floating bar crawl was great fun! Cody was super gracious in getting us booked when it didn't look like there was availability. Tim did a great job as our guide, teller of "dad jokes," and all around fun guy. We even managed to avoid getting caught in a downpour! Our family had a great time. Highly recommend!

I think we were on the same raft as Connie B - June 2022. While the rafting “pub crawl” wasn’t at all what we expected…we did have some fun on the river! However….they absolutely need to add a warning about the steep, slippery banks, & recommend footwear. Some people had flip flops rather than water shoes, which made the climb dangerous! Also, if they aren’t giving you a ride back to your car, it needs to be added to the trip details! Not everyone had their phones or credit card to call an Uber! They sent a truck to pick up their raft, but left the group to fend for themselves. I’ve never heard of such a thing from any sort of river ride! After 4 hours in the sun on the river, the only other way back to the car was a 5 mile walk on a trail. Not worth the money we paid.

Well the trip isn’t for everyone clearly. We provide the ride down the river to the breweries that are off the beaten path. It appears you were looking for the well worn path. That is not what we offer. We never stated that we offer transportation back to your vehicle either. I am sorry that your expectations were not in alignment with what we do. After hundreds of trips and hundreds of happy customers, eventually we will disappoint someone. I do appreciate the feedback about the poison ivy. I have cleared it away from the trail.
