What To Expect

Step away from the hustle and bustle of the city to visit, Kenansville, an hour drive outside Orlando, where you can enjoy Florida’s natural beauty. Your day begins with a 30-minute or 1-hour or airboat tour deep into the 4,200 acres (1,699 hectares) of protected swamps, marshes and rivers that make up the Central Florida Everglades. Your US Coast Guard captain will give you an in-depth look at the gators, birds, eagles, trees and plants that make up these beautiful wetlands. Experience an untouched part of Florida and soak in the quiet, picturesque atmosphere, where you won’t see any city development or homes.

Captain Jeff was amazing and found a ton of wildlife for us on our airboat tour. The bald eagle and the nesting mother alligator were our favorites. Captain Jeff also gave us a lot of really interesting information about alligators in general and answered all of our questions. they social distanced us on the airboats because of Covid, but that made it so much more worthwhile because there was only the 4 of us total plus captain Jeff on the boat. He kept us engaged and interested the whole tour. After our tour, we checked out the wildlife park and had a blast. There were so many kinds of animals and they had demonstrations as well with some of the keepers. You could tell the animals were well cared for because there were at least 3 different animal exhibits getting their cages cleaned, or enrichment toys swapped during our time in the park. There's a walk-through trail that takes you back to see the beautiful cypress trees. We saw the Florida bobcat, albino gators, crocodiles, two-toed sloths, snakes, exotic birds and so much more. They even have interactive exhibits like the bird aviary and the goat pen where you can purchase food to feed the animals by hand. During our trip they had baby goats and they were so adorable I spent probably an hour in the goat pen playing with them. We loved our day and cant wait to go back and visit the drive-thru safari the next time and hand feed the giraffes!

Our group of 15 really enjoyed the airboat tour. We saw a good size turtle, and several species of birds. Unfortunately, we only saw one alligator in the distance. It was a super hot day and apparently the alligators stay in cool places usually out of view. Our captain, Captain Dennis was very knowledgeable, personable, and navigated the terrain perfectly. We added on the safari drive thru, which was awesome.

So many great things to say! From them calling offering to bump up our scheduled time b/c of a storm, to the awesome tour guide (Mike) that took a second turn around so my 8 yo daughter could see the bald eagle, to the food that was good as well as affordable and the relaxing experience of the walk through animal park all just made this a day full of wonderful memories.
