Your day begins with a 30-minute or 1-hour or airboat tour deep into the 4,200 acres (1,699 hectares) of protected swamps, marshes and rivers that make up the Central Florida Everglades. Your US Coast Guard captain will give you an in-depth look at the gators, birds, eagles, trees and plants that make up these beautiful wetlands. It was a glorious day on the water. The airboat was great fun. Captain Todd was interesting with just the right amount of alligator humor. We saw bald eagles, egrets, great blue herons, skates, galinules, baby blue herons, plenty of gators, even a baby marsh rabbit hiding under a bush. Short easy drive from Orlando. Great to be away from crowds, traffic, and manufactured fun for a few hours. Highly recommend. We’ll be back.

Five of us did the 1/2 hour airboat while 2 others did the animal park then all went through the animal park and watched the gator show and fed gators. A nice variety and a great way to spend the morning.

We selected this airboat tour based on reviews like this one, and Wild Florida turned out to be more than we expected. It is a wonderful facility with well-kept grounds, courteous and knowledgeable staff, and plenty to do and enjoy. The airboat ride was safe and beautiful, informative, and we saw a couple of gators in the wild which was exciting. We also got a history of the area and lots of other wildlife was seen, including rare birds. The animal park was more expansive than we expected with a lot of variety and two great free shows. If you're looking to do an airboat tour in Florida, do the 1 hour trip and animal park and you'll enjoy every minute.
