Your day begins with a 30-minute or 1-hour or airboat tour deep into the 4,200 acres (1,699 hectares) of protected swamps, marshes and rivers that make up the Central Florida Everglades. Your US Coast Guard captain will give you an in-depth look at the gators, birds, eagles, trees and plants that make up these beautiful wetlands. Everyone was very nice and courteous. But dis not see any gators on the waters. A lil disappointed .

This was our second visit to Wild Florida Airboat Tours and it did not disappoint. We did notice that your tour will vary based on which Captain you get. On our first visit, the Captain was more adventurous, driving through the grasses and was more interactive with the guests. The Captain this time was very pleasant and knowledgeable, but definitely less adventurous and outgoing. The park itself was fun and educational. It is kept clean and is very evident that the staff genuinely care about the animals there. If you are looking for something fun, different and educational, this is a great place to spend a day. We will are looking forward to the drive-through safari they are adding next year and will definitely be back.

So... you're in Florida doing all the Disney & Universal parks - and had it with the crowds? We were; thusly decided to take a break from the "Amusement" rides. We saw this opportunity and discovered it was reasonably priced, not too far away, and well reviewed. All three were true - and reason enough to consider it for yourself as well. Parking was ample and a very short walk. Crowds were small and never overwhelming. And there is plenty to explore and experience. Oh - and they have Airboat rides!! When I think of Florida... first up was always crocs and the everglades (on an airboat of course). BOTH here - and then some! More than just crocodiles- this place is a small animal park. You can feed and interact with many of the animals. The airboat tour was awesome fun and yet another "wildlife" experience. It's NOT scary - so don't fear bringing your young explorers. The boat engines are loud, however, ear defenders are provided for every rider. No issue nor sound fatigue, even after the hour long tour. Additionally, we had no protection from "skeeters", but saw zero the whole time there - no repellant required. Sun screen likely a good idea if your floating on the airboat... In all - a very pleasant memorable experience! I recommend this one if you're in the area - especially if you're visiting from out of state as we were.
