New York City can be intimidating and very impersonal. This tour is a great opportunity to meet and make new friends with travelers from all corners of the world... all while enjoying good eats for relatively cheap! The tour guide Corey is as much of a New Yorker as they come. New Yorkers are passionate people but have very little time or tolerance for BS. You will sense what I mean after you read the instructions and conditions of booking the tour on his website and through his emails. We booked his tour using the Go City Card. The assembly point will be included in the confirmation email. When he gets the group together periodically through the tour he'll start off by getting everyone's attention "Guys! Guys! Guys! I need you over here!..." his directness is a little off-putting to some, but again, just remember you are in NYC and you have to laugh a little and enjoy the attitude. You will feel like you are in kindergarten again, but it's nothing personal! I have to hand it to him: coordinating a relatively large walking tour group through the streets of NYC takes skill. The food stops were great; I was travelling with a picky eater and he enjoyed everything we ate. You'll learn a little history about each stop you make and at the end of the tour Corey will be glad to make recommendations on places to eat later in your stay. We enjoyed it!

This tour was was great. Corey was a great guide, keeping our large group together & running on schedule. We made 5 stops which were all very tasty stops! Corey made an effort to speak and get to know us. He also provided us with directions to other locations we were wanting to go to after the tour & gave lengthy restaurant recommendations out of his own good will. Overall, a great experience to taste some local gems!

5 tasty spots on this tour. I was travelling by myself but Corey made the effort to pair up solo travellers so we could share food. It was a very large group but Corey managed to keep us together and encouraged everyone to get to know each other which was refreshing. Fairly fast paced but that wasn't an issue for me. I also went away with a notepad full of restaurant recommendations which I am very much looking forward to trying out! Did this as part of the sightseeing pass. As it states on the website I was charged for the tour but refunded within hours of finishing the tour so no problems here. Just read the small print!
