I would like to start of by saying that I was very impressed by Corey and his handling of everything as a one-man operation. If you read the website carefully, it gives you an extremely accurate description of what youāre going to get on the food tour. Everythingās very straightforward and the directions are very clear if you follow them to the T. So the people that complain about not finding the meeting point or being charged for the tour with the New York City Pass must not have read through the website and directions given there. The website is very clear. I was charged at the moment of booking but refunded within hours of having taken the tour. Our group was quite large (There were 35-40 people on our tour) and I would have never thought a food tour was possible with such a large number of people on the tour but Iāve got to say kudos to Corey in his ability to handle such a large group well, what with navigating the New York subway, and very attentive to making sure everyone could see and hear, without blocking the sidewalks for other passing pedestrians. Now, as for the food itself: I really liked the first and third stops, which were my favourite. I would have never thought of stepping into the first stop myself had I just come upon it myself, but that was honestly one of the most delicious falafel sandwiches Iāve tasted. The third stop was the most economic and delicious tacos Iād come across in New York (most places charge at least a dollar more). I was not a big fan of the pizza - it was just okay - I donāt know how it compares to New York standards but Iām a bit of a pizza snob. There were two sweet stops but I wonāt say which because I know Corey likes to keep things a surprise. For me, what made this tour really worth it was Corey himself and his list of restaurant recommendations really help you save money while getting good value. I was so glad for the hidden-away ceviche stall recommendation in Chelsea Market and Woorijip in Koreatown for some great buffet-style tasty Korean fare (I might not have gone in based on appearances alone). Coreyās restaurant recommendations alone makes the tour entirely worth it. Be prepared for the tour to run over time-wise if the group is particularly large. I definitely recommend doing it with the New York City Pass.
