Overview

Your PRIVATE sailboat charter is hosted by Captain Dan, a licensed captain with 20 years of local sailing experience. Call to make arrangements for a private sail. Beginning 4/15/2021 --2 passengers bookings will be semi Private. 4 to 6 passengers booking will be a private group

You will board the "Wind Pirate", a very comfortable 40ft sailboat, from a private residence with parking. Complimentary bottled water & ice, as well as cups, plates and a fresh water shower are provided. You are welcome to bring food and beverage of your choice as yacht has refrigeration.

Your Sailing Charter begins and ends two miles from Fort Lauderdale Beach. You will cruise down the historic Fort Lauderdale New River through Downtown. You will pass millionaires row, mega yachts and Port Everglades set sail in the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. The Captain is always happy to discuss with you various sailing options to design your perfect day.

What To Expect

A Day on the Water

Your charter will begin and end at a private residence. We will board with group pictures to remember your day. Depending on the tour selected, our Sailing Charters are four hours or two-hours. Your host will be Captain Dan, a licensed boat captain with over 20 years of local sailing experience. You will be provided a variety of options based on your groups’ preference and weather. We welcome Anniversaries, Birthday Parties, Bachelor and Bachelorette wedding parties, Engagement experience, Picnics, sunset date nights or just chilling. You may want to ride the bow in a bean bag chair and sip a cocktails, sail in the Atlantic Ocean, or swim and snorkel. You may want to drive the boat under sail and learn how to sail. The day belongs to you. The sailboat is well equipped will all necessary safety equipment; Your Safety is our responsibility.

Cancellation Policy

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

We chose A Day on The Water based on the reviews we read on Trip Advisor. We made an excellent choice - thank you fellow reviewers. We have sailed multiple times and we enjoy sailing very much. This trip was exceptional thanks to Captain Dan's hospitality, expertise on the boat, and the weather. I highly recommend A Day on the Water. If we are here again, the next time we'll do six hours instead of four. The whole time we were out on the water was delightful. Captain Dan was quick with a bottle of water to make sure we were comfortable. We took a lunch and extra drinks. He had towels and refrigeration was available. Captain Dan is very conversational and we learned so much about sailing. This is a must do, if in the Ft. Lauderdale area.

We had a great time with Captain Dan on the Pirate Wind! Having previously been on crowded group catamaran tours, we were looking for something smaller and better, and A Day On The Water provided it. We greatly enjoyed the sail and snorkeling. Captain Dan was easy to talk to and gave all us of chances to be "captain". Captain Dan is a true renaissance man and gave us a lot of interesting history as we cruised on the New River. He's knowledgeable about sailing, racing, scuba diving and snorkeling. Our teens loved snorkeling on the reef and saw lots of fish, including a big nurse shark! We learned a lot about sailing and the Ft. Lauderdale area. It was a very memorable way to end our Ft. Lauderdale stay. We highly recommend sailing with Captain Dan!

My mom and I we are from Costa Rica and we visited Fort Lauderdale on March and we had the Experience of enjoyed a sailing trip. This was an amaizing experience we enjoyed a Lot, the captain was so Nice and profesional, the sailing boat is beautiful... we recommend this trip in a 100%... thanks Capitán Dan .. greetings from Costa Rica
