We loved our time in Key West, but the trip was brutal. We were picked up in Ft. Lauderdale at 5:35 am and then spent the next two hours picking up others at various hotels. You barely get on the road, and there is a half hour bus stop at McDonald's so we did not get into Key West until almost noon. We did not purchase any extra excursions and spent the day touring the Hemingway House, Southernmost Point, Truman's White House, etc. There are plenty of things to do in Key West during your six hour stay. My biggest complaint was of the tour guide we had for the day. He told us to be on the bus by 6:00 pm, the bus would promptly leave Key West at 6:05 pm and if you were not on it, you would be left. He then waited until 6:11 for a group of late arriving girls. They were clearly intoxicated and professing to everyone on the bus that it did not hurt us to wait 11 minutes for them. The tour guide was called in, and he defended them. On the way home, one of them proceeded to throw up on the bus and in the bathroom which meant the bathroom was not available for any other passengers to use on the 6 hour drive back. Next time, we would rent a car and drive ourselves to avoid to get more time in Key West.

Hello, from Fort Lauderdale there are 195 miles each way, on routes where the speed is reduced because in several parts it is not a highway, several times there is a lot of traffic, like the day you traveled in SpringBrake. The trip also takes a little longer during the drive to Key West because there is a breakfast stop, around 30-40 minutes, where you can also go to the bathroom. Unfortunately, it is something that we cannot change because those are the distances, the traffic conditions and the speed allowed, however, the trip has many beautiful places and landscapes to enjoy from the bus. Regarding the wait for some passengers at the return time, we understand that it is not fair for those responsible people who are on time, but 11 min is a reasonable wait, it is not that long, and we were able to avoid people running out of to return. It is true that someone vomited in the bathroom, but it is also true that the tour guide cleaned it up immediately. But, in honor of the truth, you didn't mention that on the way back, a shuttle picked them up at the first drop-off and took you straight to Fort Lauderdale, so you weren't on the bus when the other drop-offs were made. Thank you very much for your comment, it is very important to us!

Tour operator was rather short with people. Passengers were left behind. One young lady was left behind at a miami location between transfers from bus to shuttle.Time on island should be a little longer.

Hello, with the greatest respect, I want to inform you that the person who stayed at the Regency Hotel that day was because she chose to stay. Even the shuttle returned in case there had been any misunderstanding, and she said again that she had wanted to stay there. Our stay on the island is 6 (six) hours free, but anyway, if you want to stay longer, you have the possibility to go one day and return the next day, buying two "one way", one from Miami to Key West, and another from Key West to Miami. Thank you very much for taking the time to write a comment.
