Freedom Trail: Small Group Tour of Revolutionary Boston (2.5 Hours)

Overview
Boston's principal role in launching the American Revolution is linked by the brick-lined Freedom Trail. This world-famous pedestrian path is best experienced on foot, in a small group, with a knowledgeable local guide! This 2.5-hour tour travels the trail from Boston Common to Copp's Hill Terrace, providing guests a chance to see ALL SIXTEEN official landmarks on the Freedom Trail.

Our small-group walking tour delves deeply into the years 1760 to 1776, the tumultuous years leading into the American Revolution. We walk in the footsteps of Colonial Bostonians, all of whom grappled with the difficult—yet essential—question of loyalty or rebellion to crown and country.

With a captivating storytelling approach, Hub Town Tours provides the perfect introduction to Boston's status as America's "Cradle of Liberty." As we travel past historic landmarks from Revolutionary Boston, your guide shares the gripping story of a small colonial town careening toward war with a global empire.

Matthew you as knowledgeable AND a wonderful story teller. The time went by incredibly quickly! Would highly recommend it — although it might be a bit of a slog for younger kids. We had only adults (or “almost adults”) in the group that my husband and I were in and those teens seemed to be/handle the walking and the amount of material just fine.

We're confident Matthew will appreciate learning how pleased you were with his tour! We generally recommend our shorter 1.5-hour option for younger families, but have also found that anyone who enjoys a good story usually has fun traveling the Freedom Trail. Thanks for joining Hub Town Tours and sharing this generous review!

Our guide, Sarah, was excellent! She captivated the whole crowd by slowly building a story of the pre-revolutionary temperature in Boston. She dispelled myth & provided helpful background to the events & people we already knew about. We had a clearer picture of all the players & exactly what each one brought to the table. From the spark of an attorney’s argument to the Battle of Bunker Hill, Sarah revealed critical details that painted a picture of the epicenter of the clash between the Crown & the Sons of Liberty. All six of us, teenagers to middleagers thoroughly enjoyed Sarah’s relating of the founding of our great nation. Thanks for providing us with a top-notch experience!

We love hearing about top-notch experiences, Debbie! Sarah has been receiving consistently impressive reviews all summer long for her efforts. She undoubtedly knows her history, but more importantly, how to spin a tale, too. We're elated to hear how much you explored strolling through Revolutionary Boston with Sarah—do come back soon!
