Freedom Trail: Small Group Tour of Revolutionary Boston (2.5 Hours)

Overview
Boston's principal role in launching the American Revolution is linked by the brick-lined Freedom Trail. This world-famous pedestrian path is best experienced on foot, in a small group, with a knowledgeable local guide! This 2.5-hour tour travels the trail from Boston Common to Copp's Hill Terrace, providing guests a chance to see ALL SIXTEEN official landmarks on the Freedom Trail.

Our small-group walking tour delves deeply into the years 1760 to 1776, the tumultuous years leading into the American Revolution. We walk in the footsteps of Colonial Bostonians, all of whom grappled with the difficult—yet essential—question of loyalty or rebellion to crown and country.

With a captivating storytelling approach, Hub Town Tours provides the perfect introduction to Boston's status as America's "Cradle of Liberty." As we travel past historic landmarks from Revolutionary Boston, your guide shares the gripping story of a small colonial town careening toward war with a global empire.

Our tour guide Darcy was very informative about the history of Boston, loved that there was only 14 people on this tour so you could hear everything she said and ask questions.

First and foremost is that this walking tour was amazing., the factual storytelling by Nick was awesome. We did a lot of walking but had many stops in the shade..the standard walking tour is ok, but the facts of who they were, what they did and why is to;d i. A way that made we feel like I was there during that period of time. Highly recommend this tour and hopefully you will grt Nick, Was I-tired, yes, but so worth it on the hottest day so far this year. 94 °.

"Factual storytelling" is an excellent summary of what we do here at Hub Town Tours! Even on the hottest day of the year, it's wonderful to hear how much you appreciated Nick's historical accuracy and storytelling style. It's what we insist upon from all our guides! Thank you for choosing Hub Town Tours, Jesse, and supporting our small business even further by sharing this 5-star review.

My husband and I loved our tour! We did the 2.5 hour tour with 16 stops. Our guide was named Nick Roberts. It was clear that he was proficient and passionate about the history of Boston. Those of us on the tour (others as well) were so excited to learn new information throughout the day. I loved how Nick planned and delivered information as if it was one narrative arc. It helped history come even more alive for us! We felt that the stops were exciting and relevant to learn about. The only points of recommendation I could give would be to take some more points to allow for pictures at certain sights. At times it could feel rushed to keep up. Overall we were WOWed. I would recommend using a tour like this and hopefully you will get Nick! I would definitely think this is the way to do the freedom trail. It provides so much more context. We had a wonderful time! Thank you, Nick!

And thank you, Sarah, for your excellent and honest testimonial! We really appreciate your taking the time to share these constructive thoughts with us. We admit, 16 landmarks in only 2.5 hours can sometimes be a little daunting, but we always want to avoid a forced march across town! Nick is a local professor and gifted storyteller, and we're elated to hear how impressed you were with his guiding skills. We will pass your feedback along to Nick!
