Freedom Trail: Small Group Tour of Revolutionary Boston (2.5 Hours)

Overview
Boston's principal role in launching the American Revolution is linked by the brick-lined Freedom Trail. This world-famous pedestrian path is best experienced on foot, in a small group, with a knowledgeable local guide! This 2.5-hour tour travels the trail from Boston Common to Copp's Hill Terrace, providing guests a chance to see ALL SIXTEEN official landmarks on the Freedom Trail.

Our small-group walking tour delves deeply into the years 1760 to 1776, the tumultuous years leading into the American Revolution. We walk in the footsteps of Colonial Bostonians, all of whom grappled with the difficult—yet essential—question of loyalty or rebellion to crown and country.

With a captivating storytelling approach, Hub Town Tours provides the perfect introduction to Boston's status as America's "Cradle of Liberty." As we travel past historic landmarks from Revolutionary Boston, your guide shares the gripping story of a small colonial town careening toward war with a global empire.

Nick was INCREDIBLE. Great story teller. Passionate, very educated in history, entertaining and thorough. He set the tone from the get go and answered every question and didn’t rush through anything. The smaller group size was very appreciated. We could gather easily around him to hear every word. There were many other tours around, hitting several of the same spots, but compared to those enormous group sizes — wow — ours stood out. Nick kept us all engaged and told us Boston’s historical revolution story and corrected lots of the inaccuracies. I would definitely recommend this tour!

Thank you, Stephanie, for sharing such a phenomenal review with us. Our formula at Hub Town Tours is quite simple: talented guides and small groups! Nick is a fantastic historian, and we're beyond fortunate to have someone of his caliber leading folks along the Freedom Trail. But no matter how talented the guide, a massive group diminishes the experience. That's why we ALWAYS limit groups to a maximum of 16 guests. Thank you, sincerely, for supporting our small tour business! Hope to see you again soon.

The tour was great. Our guide was eager to any questions and very knowledgeable about the city and the history of the place. We had already been in the city for a few days and it is so easy to get turned around in the North End, but we never felt lost or out of place with him and we were shown some more out of the way corners and squares and allies that we had totally been missing for the last several days.

Bostonians would be the first to admit that our streets make little sense—it's a tangle of old cow paths that we've turned into modern roads! We love sharing the cozy nooks and hidden side streets of this small town on tours, which is another reason we keep every group small. Thank you for choosing Hub Town Tours to explore the Freedom Trail!
