This world-famous pedestrian path is best experienced on foot, in a small group, with a knowledgeable local guide! This 2.5-hour tour travels the trail from Boston Common to Copp's Hill Terrace, providing guests a chance to see ALL SIXTEEN official landmarks on the Freedom Trail.

Our small-group walking tour delves deeply into the years 1760 to 1776, the tumultuous years leading into the American Revolution. We walk in the footsteps of Colonial Bostonians, all of whom grappled with the difficult—yet essential—question of loyalty or rebellion to crown and country.

Hands down one of the best walking tours I have ever experienced. I truly value when a guide is both knowledgeable AND passionate about the topic and Ted delivers both. He seems to transport you back in time as he paints a picture so depict you feel you’re actually there watching what happened hundreds of years ago. My friend wanted to do a self guided tour but I talked her into Ted’s tour and we’re both very glad and fortunate to have had Ted as our guide. Thank you Ted, your tour was the highlight of our trip and that’s saying something because we had a fantastic trip!

The Freedom Trail is definitely possible to self-guide, but there's so much history packed along the route, it's hard to experience it all without taking a tour. Ted's walking tour of the Freedom Trail in Boston was absolutely outstanding! Ted brings not only knowledge about the pre-Revolutionary War happenings in and around Boston, but also tons of enthusiasm and passion for the history. He's an excellent story-teller who's capable of taking his audience back in time and making them almost feel as if they're in the middle of the action of such events as the Boston Massacre and the Boston Tea Party. Highly recommended!
