Steven was our fabulous guide on a beautiful day! Enjoyed BBQ lunch at Salt Lick! After lunch visited Driftwood and Duchman Wineries. Plan to pay for tastings separately from tour fee if you want to taste wines. Steven is a comedian and is very knowledgable as well as entertaining! Highly recommend! Fun day, delicious food and wine, beautiful hill country vistas!

Highly recommending this trip. Our guide was Matt, and Allison was on tour as well that day. They were both fantastic-very friendly, gave great commentary, and were ready and willing to take those ever important photos! The van is very comfortable and they provide water throughout the day. It takes about 30-40 minutes to get to the first stop-Salt Lick BBQ. Come hungry. The food was delicious and plentiful. Then you travel on to two wineries-we went to Driftwood Estate and Duchman. Each winery had a variety and, yes, Texas makes some good wine!! You pay for the tastings separate from the tour fee, and if you donā€™t want to taste at one stop, no problem. We had about 45 minutes at each place. The only thing Iā€™d change about this tour is to lengthen each winery stop about 15 minutes-enough to taste and then be able to take in the scenery as well. It did see a little ā€œgo go go,ā€ but otherwise we had a fantastic time!! If you are traveling to Austin and want to get a little taste of the Hill Country, take this tour with Austin Detours!
