We had a good time on this snorkeling tour...minus some sea sickness. The tour itself was good as well as the staff. We loved snorkeling in turtle town and saw several turtles. My only reservation was that I believe it is overpriced. In general as well as the extra costs once aboard. I had to purchase Dramamine for $5 due to nausea on the boat. I also paid $10 for a wetsuit. I feel like the price we paid for the tour should have covered things like these. In addition, we did not feel comfortable when the captain of the ship told us that we should tip the staff and more precisely suggested $20 a head as that is what is considered "normal/expected." I thought this was a bit forward to say (and we are regular tippers ourselves anyways).

Teenage daughters first time snorkeling in Maui. Boat was clean, staff was friendly, breakfast was delicious, sammies and chips for lunch, ginger ale/coffee/water offered, and booze options were available. Molokini was ok (lots of fish but we didn't see other animals), but it was a great boat ride and nice to be away from the beach. We saw a turtle twice at Turtle Town (Makena beach). Gorgeous sunrise, and whales on the way back...it was a super fun experience and my daughters BOTH said they were glad they got up early to go (5:30 am wake up time for two night owls)!

The snorkeling conditions weren’t perfect (the company has no control over this) but we were taken very good care of throughout the trip, always felt safe and the Calypso crew knew how to help reduce motion sickness for those of us who experience it. We were able to see a verity of coral, sea urchin, fish, and turtles while snorkeling. As a bonus on the return we also saw whales, bottle nose dolphins and spinner dolphins. Hats off to the entire crew for taking amazing care of us and a special thanks to Ali for taking fantastic under water photos.
