We booked our trip for a total of $76 each. The Malolo is a smaller boat. The Quicksilver boat is bigger, has glass bottoms and a slide. This might work better if you could possibly get motion sickness, which I did. At least I would have had something to look at while getting sick. The other two in my party did experience it all though. One disappointment was the little amount of time in Molokini due to choppy waters. That couldn't be helped, and more time was spent in turtle town. There weren't a lot of turtles but we did see some. The food was nothing fancy and the crew was great. The captain seemed a bit grumpy but it's never easy being the boss. Aloha!

Looked around for a snorkeling experience while in Maui. Had heard some of the cheaper ones change mid course and don't take you to Molokini crater, so booked into the Malolo on a recommendation. Early check in 6:15am for a departure 6:45am departure. Light brekkie provided muffins/fruit/tea/coffee as we set off. Staff were super helpful & friendly. Headed to turtle town first, which was good as visibility isn't what it is at the crater and I think it would have been disappointing - staff identified where turtles were (saw two) and they hung around for a while. Headed to Molokini crater after and a massive unexpected highlight was seeing a humpback mother and calf which the crew identified and stopped the boat so everyone could see. The crater was amazing, lots of fish and the visibility is really good. Basic lunch & drinks on the way back - alcohol available to purchase for a good price. Wetsuits available to hire and the snorkeling equipment provided is good quality with prescription masks available. Really enjoyed ourselves - thanks Malolo.
