Please note: The Observatory is closed on Mondays and the Park is sometimes closed for filming so as an alternative the tour may go to Mulholland Drive and/or The Hollywood Bowl
If you chose a hotel pickup tour option please make sure to include your hotel name. Be aware you will be on the bus doing other hotel pickup for 30 minutes to 1.5 hours
IMPORTANT: If you select a hotel, it must be within our guidelines. All other hotels are subject to cancellation.
Choosing the "Santa Monica Departure" ensures no wait time before the tour and also give you plenty if time to explore the Santa Monica Pier if you come early.
If you want to be on the same bus as a another group, please contact us immediately after submitting the booking.
Please contact us if you need a bus with a Wheelchair lift or have an ADA requirement.
North Hollywood pickups may be given an Uber Voucher to get home from the last stop
Vaccination card maybe required to enter interior of Griffith Observatory (card not required to enjoy the park and views of Hollywood Sign)
Seating is not pre-assigned but we attempt to get groups close together on the vehicle
Tours are in English only

What To Expect

Santa Monica Pier

Santa Monica is a beautiful city on the Beach where you can catch some sun and see where Forrest Gump jogged Route 66 to the Pacific! No trip to LA is complete without visiting it's stellar beaches. Arrive to our office early or depart the tour in Santa Monica if you want to walk down the pier - You'll have a great photo opportunity from the bus as well!

Venice Beach

See and explore Venice Beach where you’ll see the birthplace of surfing, Muscle Beach, skate parks, stunning art murals, and the famous Venice Beach Canals!

Rodeo Drive

Window shop with the rich and famous at Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills! See where Julia Roberts shopped in Pretty Woman and Take a photo in front of the famous Beverly Hills sign!

The Grove

Not only is the Farmers Market at the famous Grove a true LA Icon, it also provides plenty of great lunch options fitting most all budgets and dietary needs.

Griffith Park

This is the best place in LA to check out the Hollywood Sign and sweeping views of the LA Basin. This stop is often a traveler favorite!

Hollywood Walk of Fame

No trip to LA is complete without a stop at the world famous Hollywood Walk of Fame. Highlights include a stroll down the Hollywood Walk of Fame, finding your favorite celebrities’ stars, A visit to Grauman’s Chinese Theatre where you find your favorite stars’ hand and footprints, the Kodak Theatre (where the Oscars are held!) and plenty more!

You get to see some of the most iconic places of LA within a day. Friendly staff and comfortable vehicles with experienced driver (Raul) who gives you many details about the places you visit and the city itself.

Such a great tour. We had only one day in L.A. and very glad we chose A Day in L.A. Tours to see everything. On time pick-up from our airport area hotel, and transported to the meeting location. Note: don't fret over your seat, it will change as you transfer to another bus at the meeting point. This tour is a great overview of L.A.! Love the Santa Monica Pier. From my perspective, more time than needed at Venice Beach - not much there - but others may have enjoyed the walk along the shore. We went to the Beverly Hills sign and park, as opposed to shopping, at the Beverly Hills stop but others returned to the bus with bags of stuff. We really needed a sit-down at lunch so ended up at Dupars at the Farmers Market, which would have been perfect if they served a Bloody Mary. :) I would have liked enough time to actually see a show at Griffith Observatory. Don't miss the kitchy display of star-themed jewelry or the incredible displays. Finished at the Walk of Fame, although we didn't get to see any handprints because there was a movie premiere that night. A wonderful day had by all. Overall, the time at all stops was well-managed and there was enough to get a good understanding of the location and not too much if the stop isn't one that really grabs your interest.
